The Situation
A luxury real estate company approached us to consult on SEO for their underperforming website. They had good market share, but their website was not doing all the work it could for them. It was slow, with an out-dated design, and without any real keyword strategy.
Our Strategy
Given the competitive nature of the online real estate market, we knew we had to find niche terms where we could beat the competition to drive search traffic. We did an extensive audit of the site, noting technical issues, and assessing CRO and SEO potential. After performing in-depth keyword research, we produced a set of valuable, niche keywords that could help gain visibility. With these keywords, we worked with their developer to overhaul the copy as well as the navigation.
We noticed that they had a persistently high bounce rate, so we created and implemented a re-design of the home page and the blog to make the page more welcoming. We also increased page speed and made navigation more intuitive.
We focused on the blog with their in-house communications person, and worked together to produce great content that has become invaluable to their search profile. We also advised on social media content, providing advice about how to reach the broadest audience possible on these platforms, including advice around paid ads, messaging, and content schedules.
What Happened
Their rankings have improved across the board, even beating the competition that once seemed intractable. Traffic has more than doubled over the last two years of our working with them. Bounce rate has decreased in that time, and they get more conversions through their website than ever before.
Certain blog posts have become ever-green content, consistently driving hundreds, even thousands of visitors to the site each month.
We report to them monthly and quarterly KPIs, so that we can continue to strategize ways of improving rankings, visibility, and conversions.
From November 2018 to July 2020 we’ve gone from 4500 monthly users to over 10,000. That means in less than two years we have doubled total traffic.
